The light in the great vaulted room has been damaged. Installation was very easy as the brackets are so thin they even fit on a roof pole. Wiring is also easy, but if you need to add a wire to the electrical box, you should probably hire an electrician. They can also be used to replace old fixtures. I used two of these to replace my closet lights and it couldn't be easier. Since they're thin enough to fit under the joist, all I had to do was cut a hole (a template is included) where the old bracket was and install them. The hole was big enough to remove the junction box over the old fixtures and I used the existing wiring - I didn't even have to climb to the attic. the price is right.
