I could not use this adapter properly because the outside diameter of the plastic housing is too large for my application. See seller's photo. The small area I use this adapter in is too small to fully insert the adapter for a proper connection. This is the sole reason for this star rating. It has well built/durable/permanent connections at the ends where the wires enter the plastic housings. Be sure to route all cables away from interference from LED screens, electrical connections, and the like. A hum can be generated when wiring is within the magnetic fields of objects. Check all adapter connections by rotating them to eliminate any noise/feedback that may occur. I bought many of these adapters to give reviews and ratings. Paid out of my own pocket to give an honest and genuine opinion.
