I opened up my joystick to swap out the joystick after I received them and no matter how I tried to plug in the ribbon cable it just WILL NOT fit the socket. I pulled back the joystick to take a good look at it, to see what was going on in the world. After staring at him for a few minutes, it finally dawned on me. The joystick in this kit has only 4 pins! My original joystick is 5. No wonder it doesn't fit. In my first photo, the new joystick from this kit is on the left and my original joystick is on the right. In the second photo you can see the ZIF connector on the board with 5 pins. Funny that the product photos show 5-pin cables. I can't figure out how you could get them all to work in your joycons with a different number of pins, unless I got them by mistake.
