Don't expect much except this review will be long

Pros: 1) It's nice to have a controller that can handle 8 separate lines of light, and up to 4800. 2) It's the same price range, just like other inexpensive 1 or 2 line controls. The bad: 1) Too bad I didn't notice that nowhere in the description does it say it works with Alexa/Google Home/whatever. It's not like this. My mistake. 2) The app only connects to the SP608E (for me) unless I'm standing directly over it, and even then it keeps disconnecting. I know this is due to interference from my other devices and power supplies, but this is ridiculous. Which also means this is the part I really don't like. You can't use it through the app over the web like I can with my other two. 3) The number of pre-programmed scenes is pretty lame and the selection is still lame. You could do a lot more. 4) So the timer function has no end time. What's the point? Oh, you just have to turn them off. Hm. Take a few bucks more off the price and I'll include them too.5). Triggers are not defined? I still don't understand their purpose as they are to be used in your alarm car but that's all I know because the documentation isn't much more than what you read in the product description. It really annoys me that this is becoming a common occurrence with many smart home products. Also, the grammar in many of them is so bad that I don't know what they are talking about in some cases, and I really wish Revain would do more to check the ads in the ads on their site. (However, it's too easy and I'll keep buying). I figured triggering meant I could get them to do whatever they wanted when a certain event happened, like subroutines and scenes do in other products. 5). If you look at the ad you will see that it is used in 8 different places in the house. I didn't think about it when making the purchase decision, but I hope if you're considering buying it based on this capability, you understand that it means running wires from the controller to each of those locations. You might as well buy 8 Wi-Fi controllers that have more useful features because so many cables are expensive. Sorry for the negativity. I do not return products if it is my fault. I assume some features are only expected if you got them with other products and with all these controllers I found it impossible to find one with all the features they all combined. (Music, camera, timer, communication in the application from anywhere. ). I gave up and bought a Raspberry Pi and am in the process of writing my own software. If you're a programmer, it's not that hard. Oh, and about all controllers. "DIY" means you can keep the color you choose instead of creating your own scene to match a product. So is this about WGAF?
