The Martha Stewart Markus Accent Stool is very easy to assemble. It came with the top section separate from the metal legs and had instructions and all the parts and tools needed to assemble it. It was quick and easy out of the box and all in one piece. This ottoman is amazing in person. It could be my lighting but I think it looked a little whiter in the picture above than it appears in person. It's a slightly darker cream with an almost golden shimmer on a velvety top. It is upholstered in a lovely soft velvety fabric without excessive lint. However, what I love most about this product is the amazing comfort I noticed as soon as I sat on it. This item is plush! The seat is wide enough to accommodate even the most generous back and the cushion feels so soft and springy. I'm sure if it had a back I could fall asleep sitting on it. It is very light and easy to carry. This is a great footstool or extra seat. I can't decide where he's going to live permanently, so I'm guessing my kitchen and bathroom will be sharing custody of my new favorite spot in the house for now. I highly recommend this item.
