Review on 📚 Manga Satchel Artist Pack by Royal & Langnickel by Doris Tran

If allowed I would give this product 3.5 stars. It's a little better than good. However, there is nothing "manga" in this set. A hardcover sketchbook is a good place to start - it weighs about 70 pounds of paper and is fairly structured. The fineliners in this set won't bleed through the pages of a magazine unless you wipe over them repeatedly. The cover of the magazine is very thin. The first page came loose from the binding when first opened, although I picked up some paper on the back of the hardcover cover due to binding glue getting on the cover. See in the picture what I cannot effectively put into words. As for the rest of the pages, the binding has leaked onto the pages, leaving you with almost half an inch of paper lost through the binding. The fineliners are marked as permanent, but definitely aren't. I used them to do a light watercolor outline (on some thick watercolor paper) and the liner's ink bled as soon as I added a very light touch of water, even though I applied the watercolor more than 24 hours after using the liner. The mark is already erasing from the liner and I've only been using the pen for a few weeks. The stencils are flimsy and not very useful to me. I would say they are more suitable for standard comic book drawings (rectangles and conversation balls) and have nothing to do with the manga drawings I've seen. The mechanical pencil and ballpoint pen are so-so - they don't seem to be very durable. The bag is good for taking your art supplies with you when you travel and it has quite a lot of compartments. The quality of the bag is pretty good and I think it will last as long as you don't handle it terribly roughly. The eraser is great and does a really good job of erasing pencil from those pages. I also really like the pencil case, a simple roll with Velcro that has 7 spaces for pens or pencils. All in all, this is a good set for those who want to test out whether they enjoy sketching or journaling. If I were to make a similar purchase again, I think it would be best to find a higher quality magazine and buy the book case, pencil case and eraser separately.
