I drive an older, smaller sedan. The standard rear-view mirror leaves many blind spots. I bought this and it has explained my field of vision to the point where I have almost no blind spots anymore! Of course, checking blind spots is just common sense, but it allows you to get more views, which is always a good thing. The only downside is that the driver's side sun visor no longer goes past the mirror, but as long as I'm careful I can still use my sun visor without sliding the visor behind the mirror.
