Difficult to Install; Very Poor motion detection

Had a fairly tough time installing this; had to get longer screws in the end; took way longer than it should have given the house is new construction.The motion sensing is terrible; barely works.
I have to clean the sensor weekly and Typically have to wave my hand right in front of the sensor for it to detect motion; not ideal.
