Update: My replacement arrived before I could return the defective set. Of course, I tried them out right away, and as others have said, this set came together without much fuss. I tried Monster Hunter with them and this time I defeated the evil Tetranadon without drifting like I did with my old ones! So lesson learned: if they don't mate IMMEDIATELY, they're defective, order a new set. Not happy with the sharp edges of the keys but they don't stick. And it's very similar to the brand name but at half the price, so. You get what you pay for, but who wants to pay the cost of a video game for a controller when you don't have to?
