I have worked with countless tablets in the past, including Huion, Wacom and others. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator of children's books and have been working with tablets for over 10 years. When I say this is the best tablet for beginners, I mean it completely. I've had Wacom tablets that have completely fallen apart and are LESS delicate than this tablet, at least 4 times the price. It's a solid workhorse of a tablet, it has a large surface area, it works with every art program I've tried with it, it navigates very well and the buttons are a great way to navigate the art program without getting distracted. Keep your hands off the tablet. I have recommended this particular tablet to many artist friends and it is far more convenient and reliable than the exponentially more expensive tablets. However, note that the drivers that came with the tablet do NOT work with my laptop. As far as I could tell they were about 8 years out of date and totally incompatible with modern technology updates. Go to Monoprice.com and search for that particular tablet, download the latest drivers from there. It works great afterwards. An unfortunate extra step, but considering all the good things about this tablet, it's still very useful. Monoprice please update the drivers you add to the box! It would have saved so much panic and frustration!
