Not bad, not what we were hoping for.

I'm the uncle who does my nieces' hair - I didn't want anything permanent (I'm the kind of person who says no to teenagers and dyes their hair - let's wait a few years), so we went this way. I figured that if I had a red head, purple would look pretty good. After reading all the instructions I was amazed to learn that you can remove your natural color and bleach - looks / works best. In hindsight, this would have been an 'okay no' moment - even someone like me (who doesn't dye their hair) should know that dying it blonde looks/shows better than dying it dark. So I was a little confused by my expectations of what I was being sold - but ok I figured it out - common sense should have slapped me in the face. So we followed the instructions exactly. Also followed some instructions from other reviews (we left it on for 80 minutes - others said longer would be better). Of course, the color purple made some of her hair dark brown. She is happy in her current form - this is her first "colour". It's summer now so we'll see how long it lasts - I'll update once I figure that out over there. Recommended for those looking for washed out colors. Of course, if you want bright, beautiful colors, you should start with blonde/highlighted hair. Doesn't look bad on colored hair, just not as bright. This was our experience. If this helps you decide, please click the Helpful button!
