We love this light! We bought a light for our betta who lives in a 1.1 gallon tetra tank. The light is very bright in "white" mode and seemed too bright for our small tank. However, we like to use it in "blue" settings and have modified it by placing a piece of blue masking tape over the LEDs to reduce the brightness. It mounts securely to the side of the tank and the AC plug plugs into the wall, eliminating the need for batteries. The neck of the lantern and the lamp itself are also quite easy to adjust.
