Item as described. - Bedding

My son was born prematurely and weighed 4 pounds 6 ounces. He was in intensive care for 18 days and was diapered every day so he really got used to the safety. We used to get blankets to change him, but now he weighs almost, if not exactly, 7 pounds and is only a few days to 2 months old, so he's outgrown his blankets. He's about 19 inches tall and a master of flight. He was able to get his hands out of the middle of this particular wrap, which wasn't a huge problem because when he got blankets regularly, he would work his hands up to his face and kick his legs completely out of his butt. We liked that his leg movements weren't restricted by these diapers as we've read that restricting the movement of his legs and squeezing them together can cause hip and mobility issues. so anyway. the top of these diapers cover his chin/mouth and this makes us a little nervous as we only change when he is sleeping or when he is bobbing like a fish in water when we feed him. We're hoping they'll come in handy once he's grown a bit, so for now they'll really only be used occasionally during daytime feedings. I washed them about 5 times because I was really trying to try them and make them work for our son. Every time I've washed them I've made sure to cover all velcro with the appropriate velcro fabric flaps to ensure they don't get stuck to other laundry items and keep the velcro alive.
