Okay, here's the problem; I put some shelves up in my small two car garage. Now things on the shelves are blocking the light from above. So I bought an Onforu product to place the LEDs on the bottom of the racks. The reasoning was good. But. There's always a caviot. After installing the 8" strip, I found the LEDs to be too distracting and spotty. MAJOR DISTRIBUTORS When I looked at Revain I found extruded aluminum with translucent diffusers that solved the problem. They are available in 3.3 foot (1 meter) long aluminum extrusions and plastic sections. They can be attached with double sided tape, clips (included) or (my choice) attached with screws. GLUING ADHESIVE There have been complaints that the adhesive on the strips is not very good. For me, prior to installing the LEDs, I wiped the base of the diffuser with rubbing alcohol and then TSP to remove any grease or oil that may have been on the mounting surface. THEREFORE, CLEAN THE INSTALLATION SURFACE BEFORE INSTALLATION. If you run your finger over the surface, clean it again as your finger will leave oil on the surface. DIFFUSER The diffuser will snap into the base channel and the LEDs will appear as white lines on the bottom of the posts. I am very satisfied with the result. and functionality of this product.
