This is a really nice mug but something tells me it's going to give me about that much hot coffee like mine is now - mug if I could cover it with a lid. He looks quite capable, but he's very skinny. 21st Century manufacturing has found a way to make what you need thinner and take advantage of whatever other cost-cutting measures they can find. Another major producer nation has succeeded in doing this. I'm not saying these things don't work; I say at what point do you say it's not the product it should be or has been in the past. Everything looks perfect but I just think if you are blown away by their claim that this is a true thermal travel mug that stays hot I would look for something warmer. Update: June 1st, the lid is really smooth. , smooth sip and its composition REALLY retains heat. Not a bad cup. I wish it had more and slightly thicker lips. But as they say in business, it is what it is and if you don't have a lot of money to spend this is a good choice.
