I think this product is not age appropriate. I brought this as a gift for my 3 year old grandson as he loves building with magnetic tiles. I found the magnets to be larger and the metal magnetic balls attached. Magnetic pins are about an inch or so in diameter. The magnetic balls are smaller than marbles and separate. I have to say that I didn't read the product description. While my grandson was fascinated building this with them, they were difficult to manage and frustrated. The most important! If there are younger siblings in the house, magnets are very dangerous if swallowed. I would not have bought if I knew the parts are not attached and more! It will be the best gift for an older child.
