I decided to try this to avoid destroying almost every bar of soap our 3 year old gets his hands on. He used the soap bar as a toy and spent quite a bit of time pouring hot water and destroying the soap bar. Not anymore! and we saved a lot of dollars on soap! We've had it for over 2 months now and our family of 8 uses it all the time. The batteries hold up great and the company mentioned it's a good idea. Uses just the right amount of soap and kids have fun (sometimes too much) with it. I installed a dispenser over the sink to catch any drips. The only issue I had was the 5 year old turning the unit off (he figured out where that switch was fairly quickly) and this confused me several times until I remembered there was a switch at the bottom. I would have preferred without the switch but it's still a great investment.
