Review on WD_Black Drive Portable External Compatible by Sri Wells

I bought this as a workhorse to move files between systems and store data. I previously bought a 2TB model (no SSD) and while it's solid, it was a bit slower. The SSD model is ten times faster than the old spindle drives. It's also 1/2 size. The outer case is all metal, has rubber feet to keep it in place. The old 2TB model came with a legacy USB 3.x cable, while the new 500GB SSD came with USB-C. Speed is the problem, SSD is the solution. Quickly. Both drives were preformatted EXFAT and had a small error (both partitions were labeled "WD_BLACK"). When both devices were plugged into my Mac, it couldn't tell them apart. I ended up formatting and renamed the new "WD_SSD" one Thing to note is that the SSD will get warmer, but the metal case seems to work as a heatsink as well.Very satisfied.
