DO NOT buy this card reader. It ruined 2 of my compact flash cards. The problem is that there is a very short path to inserting the card, so the card can easily become misaligned. You think it's ok, just pull it out and try again. NOT RIGHT! I've had this card reader for 2-3 months and have used it about a dozen times with no problems BUT then this week I somehow bent one of the pins on the card reader and when I tried to put it back in it was a bent pin that somehow corrupted my card. When I couldn't put a memory card in the reader, I put the card in my Canon camera and used it to download photos from the card. When I cleared the memory on my 2GB memory card, my photo counter showed 24, when it's normally 108 (RAW and JPG) photos. I checked to be sure. I took 24 photos and of course the full card warning popped up. I erased the card and tried again, still only 24 photos capacity. I checked my 4GB memory card, there are only 13 photos on it right now. At this point I thought GAME OVER! The reduction in the number of photo files signals me that some parts of the memory card are corrupt, soooo I can't trust these cards with my photos. NO WAY! So I threw the card readers and memory cards in the trash. It's time to buy new cards and a better card reader that won't ruin my new memory cards. Anyone have any suggestions? BUYER BEWARE!
