Review on πŸ”€ Gray Tomsenn Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard with Two-button Trackpad for Surface Pro 6/5/4/3, Lightweight Slim Design, Built-in Rechargeable Battery by James Small

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bought by chance on a deal site.

For the price I paid I got what I paid for. The device fits my Surface Pro 17 perfectly (doesn't connect to Surface, just magnetically snaps into place from below, ie doesn't connect/charge via Surface). It folds over the Surface screen like it's a real Microsoft product, which is really cool, and the magnetic grip is really, really strong - it won't fall off the Surface. The backlit button is bright enough to be used in the dark, but the buttons will dim after 10-15 seconds of non-use. The only thing that confuses is the charging port. It has to be the strangest power port in the world. I need it to operate (magnetic hold in place and direct in use, making charging while in use a little tricky). So far this thing has stayed charged for five eight-hour days of use without juice. The only thing attached to the surface is that it elevates the keyboard like it has foldable legs like you see on a regular keyboard. This isn't a problem for me (I like a sloping keyboard), but it's so thin that the "greasers" (ie, give under pressure) are more likely to rest on the work surface than on it. A bit annoying but useful. Also, it always starts with NUMLOCK on, which disables the letter keys. So you must remember to turn off NUUMLOCK every time you start it. SUPER ANNOYING! Not sure why this configuration is used by default?
