I bought a pair of Sony XM3s when they came out and I really like them. You are my daily driver. I use Bose QC 35c II, Microsoft Surface and older Sony WH and MDX headsets and this noise canceling version of Sony headsets is by far the BEST for 3 reasons: (I address 3 points in the video) 1 . Comfort - If you use them in rooms with room temperature, your ears will not get warm. The padding on top and around the ears is much more comfortable than the older Sony WH and MDX headsets. I used my original Sony WH1000X M3 on a 16 hour flight from Houston to Dubai and felt comfortable the whole way.2. The noise canceling performance was the BEST I've ever had. Remember flying to Dubai there were kids on one side of me and people on the other side who wouldn't stop talking and this headset worked amazing. drowned out everyone, plane noise even when not listening to my book, movies or music. Amazing.3. Battery life. Sony says you should get 30 hours of life from a full charge. this was already evident on my long flight to Dubai. I know if I were using my old Sony or Bose headset, or even the new Microsoft Surface headset, I'd have to charge them on the fly. With these 1000x M3. I didn't worry about the battery life. I was so impressed with the performance, battery life and comfort of my WH1000x M3 that I bought them, a second pair. crazy but I bought them for my wife. because of the trip we are doing this year.
