This light is extremely useful not only as a backlight for web calls, but also as portrait or subject lighting for professional photography. I had to take a night shot at home and part of it was dark. I put one of these lights face up on the floor and against the wall and it worked. For quick portrait shots, two of them offer improved lighting and are extremely compact. Worth the money and the battery life is good. You can change the color temperature between the two LED groups (warm white and cool white) as well as reduce the light output.
