This is my third purchase and they are worth every penny. The foam is a bit denser than other brands so they hold their shape longer. The diameter is perfect for 40's and 50's rollerblades and the color is very cute. Putting on a scarf or hat will keep them in place and it will be less painful to sleep on. When rotated correctly (ends tucked in and folded perpendicular to the head) the sponge will not slip off the plastic clips. If the cuts are made correctly, the hair should not come loose from the clips and the hair should not get stuck in the plastic. It's a learning curve compared to today's curling irons and hot rollers, but it's worth it for the quality of the set.
