Review on Duncan 410306 Tulip Permanent Fabric Dye - 1.75 oz, Black by Lori Aguirre
It turned dark blue
I used this according to the instructions (steaming with hot water, adding the appropriate amount of salt, some items of clothing were within the recommended time, others I left longer) and used recommended fabric. However, everything I colored turned dark blue. I think I was expecting it to turn dark gray if it's lighter than usual. But instead everything was dark blue. And a faded navy blue. Next time I will try the Rit brand. EDIT: I tried Rit for my next project and none of them came out black. I think you just can't find a good black color.
