I bought one of these for my key and I really liked it but it seemed to have more difficulty for the car to recognize my key. I really like the style and the product seems very durable. So I ordered another one for my wife, thinking signal interference wasn't a big deal. However, when my wife had the key in this case, it didn't work at all when the key was in her purse. So it doesn't completely block the signal from the key, but it does block enough that anything potentially blocking the signal will prevent the key from working properly. If you want to take the key out every time you need to open a door or drive, that's fine, but then it defeats the purpose of a wireless key fob. The Tesla service rep told my wife that we would need a silicone cap to prevent signal blockage.
