I bought this camera to capture memories of a family vacation to Oregon this summer. I have a bigger, prettier camera that takes great pictures, but I needed a small, inexpensive camera that wouldn't take up much room in my free airline bag. I wasn't sure what the quality of the shots would be, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. This camera doesn't have advanced features and doesn't take super high quality pictures, but I think you can still take some good pictures with zoom and different scene settings. The sea anemone in the image I included is an underwater shot I took in a tidal pool. However, I had a negative experience with this camera. Shortly after the underwater shots, the camera stopped working. It went off and on again but stayed frozen on the last take. I later found out that my 7 year old son was trying to make an underwater video just before it stopped working and I don't think you should do that. I was disappointed because I thought the camera was broken and we couldn't use it for the rest of the trip. However, later the next day I tried again and it worked. I have since used it for other purposes such as school plays, sporting events and mountain hikes. I would recommend this camera if you are looking for a cheap, small, easy to use camera that takes pretty decent pictures.
