Review on πŸ”’ Secure Your Travels with Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Light Mini Crossbody Bag - Black with White Stripe by Heather Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent performance for a holdall

Bought this bag for an upcoming business trip to Italy. I usually carry a small Dooney & Bourke crossbody bag with me, but for this trip I wanted something less flashy and a little more practical than my usual bag. I will try to provide the information I enjoy reading in this bag review to help you decide if it is right for you. immediately and were the main reason I ordered this bag. On the back of the bag there is a very handy open pocket which I think will come in very handy (more on that in a moment). The passport pocket, map pockets and pen loop in the lockable compartment are handy features I love about the bag, as is the inner mesh pocket with a zip and an open pocket behind. Problems: As I haven't traveled with the bag yet I'll just list them as problems for now and hopefully remember to come back and see how it went. First, I take my bags/handbags/tote bags seriously. My husband calls me "bag lady" because all I like is well-designed bags of any kind. My favorite brands are Tumi, TravelPro, and Dooney & Bourke, so I compare the performance of this less expensive bag to those brands. 1) the quality of the zipper - the zippers on this bag feel light. I'm particularly concerned about the "lock hardware" clasp that secures the shoulder strap to the bag on one side, and I see one reviewer pointing out a case where it broke. I take a small carabiner with me for emergency repairs, because the bag is useless without a shoulder strap. Since I'm carrying my shoulder bag in front of me, locking devices seem useless (I usually only wear my bag during meals etc when I'm afraid of theft). The latch that latches the main compartment also feels a bit flimsy, but at least the bag works without the latch (a paper clip can do that in a pinch). Contents: lockable main compartment - passport, 4 credit cards, driver's license and ID card, pen, USB charging cable, key/key ring, mini carabiner, small pill case, headphones in case, a set of Ricola cough lollipops and over-the-counter medicines in individual packs, cash in one internal zippered mesh pocket, a small wallet, a full pocket of Kleenex wipes. Note: Insert larger items all the way down to maximize capacity. Front zip pocket for hand sanitizer, lip gloss, 20 business cards, boarding pass or headphones. Open Back Pocket - iPhone 6s OR - slip your phone in your jeans pocket, it fits a 16 ounce water bottle and one of the flat folding umbrellas. Now you see why I'm worried about the clasp holding together! However, the capacity of this thing is really good and I'll honestly get a smaller handbag or skip it altogether and pack a half-empty pack of tissues just to cut down on how much I stuff in my bag. When I take out the diaper bag, my Kindle Oasis with case fits in the bag along with other things and I can still fit a water bottle in the open pocket. The water bottle fits deeper in the pocket than shown in the attached photo. Even a full bag (not a water bottle) fits easily into my "personal item" on the plane, although I plan to carry it. I can slip my phone in and play white noise through my headphones while trying to sleep. Sizing tech: Me am 6ft tall and a few pounds (eg 35) overweight - the bag fits easily over my shoulder, in fact I have an extra foot strap available if I need to make it taller UPDATE May 2018: This bag worked exactly just as i hoped it would be.definitely recommend and would buy again.crammed all the way including charging a water bottle while walking around pompeii and he came home brand new, so I rate its durability quite high.
