I bought this speaker out of curiosity, I've heard of the Altec Lansing brand before and I needed a reliable loud and punchy bass speaker for parties. I will see this Altec Lansing speaker soon for sale on amazon and I bought it. It arrived soon and I was very happy with it, it came with a mic and it's very decent quality, not the best of studio mics but you can seriously use it for a party. I realized there are 2 mic jacks at the top of the speaker panel and it's a nice addition if you want to add 2 people to sing along, I liked the speaker led show it plays music very well and it's nice to see there are many modes you can choose, i choose to hop to the music. The speaker drivers are two 5" woofers with a tweeter in the middle, I find them quite comfortable to listen to, you can localize the singer's vocals very well and clearly, the mids were ok and the dandy bass was good too , but not that deep. Soon I saw this bass button on the control panel and I pressed it. I was surprised at how much extra bass there was. It shook the whole room and I felt it on my chest. The overall construction of the speaker is very well done , the body is made of MDF or some other material and the rest of the body is plastic. Usually speakers are plastic but I liked the fact that Altec used wood in this product. It beats the plastic and sounds amazing.
