UPDATE: Give them another star for durability. Have had them for about a year and apart from some rolling of the outer material they have held up well. Not a ton of spools, but definitely present in places. It still stands out because my daughter doesn't like clothes. For a "girly" girl, she turns out to be an unexpectedly big mess most of the time, lol, and it has withstood her abuse. They are still soft on the inside and are nowhere near as faded as one would expect after countless washes. She's a little girl who doesn't grow too much year after year so she wears them a little shorter now than when we got them but definitely not so much that she can't wear them. All in all we got TWO winters out of them and it certainly deserves an updated review :-) My 4 year old loves it. She is a colorful girl and loves all the bright colors of the stripes. The fleece inside is very soft and warm. She wore them in the cold upper Midwest climate and I think they might be warmer than her jeans. The only thing I would fault is that after a few washes these little pills appear in the material. Unsightly and worth a star deduction, but not a deal breaker.
