The only thing that disappointed me was the slightly distorted sound, especially at high volume. I haven't tried fully submerging them because the instructions say "designed to perform properly in the water given the conditions [sic]. It cannot be submerged in water. The design is designed only for strong jets of water. If it's not confusing, the front of the box says "Water Resistant" in big letters, while in smaller type it says "Totally waterproof so you can get wet just like your favorite water sport requires." This is bad merchandising and I can understand it , why a few other users went straight under the water and quickly killed them. On the plus side, they're comfortable and easy to use, and there aren't any range issues. The price was also moderate. Took these because there aren't many others in this type of product. So they are waterproof except when they get wet! UPDATE October 2016 Still works, but battery life leaves a lot to be desired at around 2 hours or less (they claim 8 but we never got more than 2). Even worse, you hear a low battery warning beep about 3 minutes before it turns off! What's so good about that? UPDATE August 2018 - End of the road - works but doesn't charge for even an hour. So have 4-5 years of trouble free service - not very happy with it.
