My child takes part in a nature program and spends hours outdoors, whatever the weather. One night he came home with wet socks, despite wearing "waterproof" hiking boots, his shirt was soaked chest deep under the "raincoat", but when he took off those pants, his cloth pants underneath were completely dry!
