People who say it runs small are used to shopping in stores where the number on the clothes is lower (old dark blue/gap). It is true to size. I was worried it would be too small as I'm quite broad in the shoulders and reading the reviews. I'm 5-6 inches, 145#, pant size 27-28, and I bought a small and a long sleeve shirt fits easily underneath. White is actually ivory, but still very cute. Perfect little jacket.
