When I first came across this pillow I kept browsing because I didn't think I would want shredded memory foam. I assumed crushed meant lumpy. However, due to the high reviews, I kept coming back to this one, so I just ordered one to try out before getting a full set for our bed. Received it in the mail and put it in the dryer on low heat for 10 minutes as directed. The loft was too high but luckily it can be adjusted so I removed about 1/4 of the styrofoam. That helped! It's so comfortable and not lumpy at all. I love how easy it is to adjust compared to the firm memory foam pillow. I love it so much I have already ordered 3 more so our new bed will have a full pillow set. In addition, the price around 30 can't be beat. And the fact that it's machine washable is a plus! I HAVE TO ADD: DO NOT follow the instructions they give you for washing/drying. The dryer does NOT work. You'll get frustrated if you try to dry it like the instructions say because memory foam won't dry out no matter how many hours you leave it on. INSTEAD: Buy a large mesh bag. By oversized I mean the size of a small blanket, about 35 x 40 inches or so. They sell them here at Revain for as little as $7 or $8. Either way, you'll ONLY want to toss shredded memory foam in that mesh bag and nothing else! And DO NOT repackage. Pack the memory foam loosely so it has room to wash and dry. I think I only filled mine halfway, which was enough because the mesh bag is so big. The extra space makes it easy to separate the memory foam pieces so they can be fully washed and dried. This worked for me and I only have to tumble dry once! After an hour everything is dry! If only the original manual recommended this method. All in all I am a very satisfied customer.
