That's why I lost Egyptian sheets in a divorce. If I had known how hard it is to find such decadence, I would have bargained harder but lived and studied. I have purchased several high thread count Egyptian cotton bedding sets over the years and have been disappointed. All complained about high thread count and dropped various complaints about hotel quality or similar. These pillowcases arrived in plain packaging. Upon inspection, you can see that they are of good quality. Nicely sewn, color and size are good. I washed them normally and dried them on a low heat. I then tossed them along with my regular laundry and repeated the wash/dry cycle without much maintenance. Came out well and became noticeably softer. My experience is that you need to wash linens multiple times to get them softer and this was no exception. They fit my normal sized pillows and are great for soft ones too. They feel good and look great. In terms of softness they have a way, maybe a dozen washes will bring them to full softness and I have a feeling they will do it. So the price affects the rating and compared to others I've tried I give this one 5 stars, especially considering the price. They are reasonably priced and feel really premium. They are very pretty, comfortable and soft and appear to be of good quality. I love that the fabric is pre-shrunk and I also love that I can treat it like linen instead of hand washing or air drying. When I first received it I found the packaging disappointing and was afraid it would be another one with high false claims but I was and still am impressed.
