This is the first cat tower I have bought for my 9 lb cat and I am very pleased. I've read other reviews that it's a little unstable and that might be a bit true. It wobbles a bit when she jumps up the top 2 levels, but that doesn't seem to bother her, and it doesn't even come close to tipping over. She just loves it! She really enjoys the dangling mouse and she holds herself up great and considering she's strict with toys I'm impressed. I really like the sisal rope wrapped pillars, she loves to scratch and it's nice to have another good spot for her. I ordered it in beige and unfortunately received the wrong color. It's more of a sandy white, it's still pretty, but it stands out against my beige carpet more than I'd like. All in all, for less than $50 I paid for it, I would absolutely recommend it to a friend! I have looked at other towers for double the price in many other places but had nothing to offer. Oh and I received it in less than 5 days and the shipping estimate said 7-10 so I'm thrilled! UPDATE: I've had this scratching post for almost 2 years and the only thing that didn't work was the hanging toy. It was destroyed after about 3 months. Apart from that it still looks pretty good. The sisal rope is a little frayed at the top of the columns where it scratches, but despite its popularity, it holds up incredibly well!
