I hate too bright light; they hurt my eyes! I use a maximum of 25 or 40 watts in all my lamps and lights. That's why I almost never used the chandelier in our dining room because the lightbulbs that were in here when we moved were too bright. (When I used it, I unscrewed all but one bulb.) I actually found these bulbs while looking for night lights and thought they might be perfect for a dining room. Now that all 5 bulbs are screwed in, it's only 50 watts. The perfect amount of comfortably soft light.
