Review on LRI PWK Photon Keychain Micro Light by Todd Markel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

awesome and small

I really like this little light. I also bought a small flashlight, but I didn't like it because you always needed two hands to turn it on. I have this lightbulb on my keychain and I don't even notice it. It only takes one tap to turn it on. only one hand It has a switch that you can press to keep the light on. What I love most is that I can put it in my small Altoids Can emergency kit along with other items. The brightness is really great for this little guy and spreads out pretty well at 180 degrees. So you can hang it in your tent to light up everything. Not like a flashlight, but still very good. The only suggestion and concern I have is that when I packed it in my Altoids kit I had to be careful not to press the light button when closing the lid or drain the battery. The button is slightly recessed, so I just made sure it was resting on something flat and not a protruding object so it wouldn't turn on. Not sure what could have been done differently. It is one of the most useful emergency preparedness tools because it is very small and you always have access to it. Also, I was concerned about how to replace the batteries. It's not a big deal, but replacing it requires a very small Phillips screwdriver and then a couple of coin batteries. I've had mine for about 3 months now, I use it intermittently and still no signs of light dimming. Now I have bought one for each of my family members. I'm sure my kids will go through the destructive testing period :) so I can contribute later.
