I bought this to highlight an artwork I made for my brother and nephew. All in all I'm happy with it, but I was disappointed in a few things. The downsides for me were that the adhesive peeled off the lighting strip a couple of times when I tried to just peel off the top layer to stick it on. Without fingernails it was also quite difficult to fix. But in the end I fixed it. Second, it should play with music. I admittedly didn't have a stereo to plug the lights directly into, but when I played music through my phone through the lights app, it didn't sync to the music, which was a bit disappointing for me. It just didn't make the feature compelling and there really isn't a guide on how to do that to know if I'm doing something wrong on my end. They just blink fast even if it's a slow song. Using a controller is a bit risky as you need to aim perfectly and be fairly close to the receiver. It seemed better to me to work through the application on my smartphone. On the plus side, they're relatively easy to set up. They are very light. Even if you make a mistake you can peel it off and it will still hold up well if you reapply, although I wouldn't try to move the strip more than once. There are tons of colors, modes, speeds, and presets to play with. You get many legs in the kit and they are very easy to install, use and tie together.
