Review on Tiding Convertible Backpack Messenger Briefcase by Everett Underberg

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great first impression

Just received this bag so just the first impression. The quality of the materials appears to be quite high for this price range. Leather, stitching and straps feel durable enough to withstand heavy use and casual handling. I work hard with my stuff by nature rather than intentionally, so I'll review the previous statement soon :) Converting from backpack to shoulder/portable isn't hard, but it's not something you can accomplish in ten seconds. I love that unused straps are tucked away out of reach. The only thing I don't care about with this process is the exposed zippers for the straps used. It's not a big deal and I don't know how easy it is to get around this design, but it's an open pocket. The inside of the bag is quite well finished. My biggest gripe here is the Velcro that keeps the straps in place in some nooks and crannies. If this bag holds up as it seems, the velcro will open long before the rest of the bag wears out. I'd like to see some sort of magnetic closure, or maybe snaps or snaps, but that's a bit finicky. The only real gripe with the main compartment is that it doesn't open as wide as I would like. Between the less flexible leather than fabric and the zipper that wraps no more than two-thirds around the compartment, I had to open my bag to look inside. This will no doubt improve as the bag is used more and more. All in all, if anything, this bag is larger than what I was hoping for when I bought it at the time. If anything changes I will update.
