I need high cotton content socks for my feet or they sweat like crazy. I bought these socks for visiting my sister in Idaho and was worried by how thin they are, but they are much warmer than they seem. I'm sure they don't compare to thick wool socks but they are definitely warmer than standard socks. They're also very comfortable, and I've washed them a handful of times now without them changing in any way. Overall I'm very happy with them.
