Awesome Budget Stabilizer for Beginners

I'm a YouTuber and I was looking for something to boost my travel videos. Even though I'm always on the go with my DSLR, I always end up vlogging with my phone just because I already had it in my hand. My phone can record in 4K, but the footage still doesn't look as good as I thought - why? Because it was shaky! I knew that for my upcoming travels this fall I would like to invest in a gimbal to enhance my shots. Some important details: I have an iPhone X with an Otterbox Symmetry Series case which weighs 215g in total. After reading the instructions, I put my phone in and was able to balance it with ease. My phone felt secure in the clamp - no counterweights were required and I wasn't afraid at all that it would move. Short conclusion: β†’ FRAME SMOOTH - this stabilizer does what it's supposed to, period. Check out the video that accompanies this review to see some of the pictures I took during the hike. I even shot a clip on the front when I was driving up a gravel hill and the phone stayed stable enough for very smooth footage even though I was NOTHING but stable. β†’ For those who want to mount other devices on it, there are two additional 1/4 20 screw inputs, one on the handle and one on top, that can follow your device (ideal for an external microphone). β†’ If you want to use the built-in phone microphone, there is no engine noise. from the video stabilizer. β†’ The battery life is said to be around 12 hours which was definitely an advantage for me as I plan to use it on vacation when I will be out all day without being able to charge. Haven't used it for 12 hours straight yet, but I've used it for several days on the same charge for short sessions with no issues. β†’ You can use this stabilizer as an extra power bank for your phone (reduces battery life). time of course) when you are in need. β†’ Comes with carry case and tripod - it REALLY adds value. The Hohem Gimbal App is new and improved and has tons of handy features like filters, zoom options, panoramic photos, digital stabilization and slow motion. The app has been updated once since I got my gimbal and it seems they are constantly working to improve it. At the moment I feel that the face tracking and object tracking aren't very reliable (they lose the object/face if they move too fast, and if the stabilizer loses target it can start rotating), but I will do not use these functions frequently. at least for my purposes, so it's not enough for me to dock the stars. I also like that the app allows you to customize the movements of the gimbal in terms of how it responds to movement. Also, there are two ways to connect this stabilizer to your phone. Via the app for full functionality or directly to your phone's main Bluetooth if you wish to use the shutter releases with the native camera app. The zoom only works within the app no matter how it's connected, but it's nice to at least have the remote shutter feature outside of the app. If you switch back and forth, make sure it's only connected one way or the other - it won't work with both live connections. Position, fast-follow sport mode, and I kept it mostly in pan-follow or all-follow mode for typical vlog-style walking videos. The joystick is very responsive and easy to use. The in-app one-trigger zoom is also pretty smooth (watch the video again). Overall this was the best choice for my first stabilizer. Easy to use, works well with the app and my phone's built-in camera and makes my videos look more professional! This product was provided to me free of charge for review. All opinions are honest and mine.
