This will probably work with 2 x 6 walls and will probably be ok with non-recessed sockets (I haven't tried it.
This panel will not work with recessed socket housings. It's a very deep panel and with a 2 x 4 wall construction there is no room to connect HDMI cables to the back of the panel and mount everything in the wall. This will probably work with 2 x 6 construction walls and will probably be fine with non-recessed boxes (one non-recessed I haven't tried the can) plate idea good, but it's just too deep to connect hdmi and bend it to a small area.
