My sunglasses fit in this glasses case. The hinge fits most of the middle of the case and feels like a solid hinge. The coating is quite thick and has an attractive leather look. The inside is soft enough not to scratch your glasses. I am happy with this purchase. I give this 5 stars and will let you know if I run into any issues with this case in the near future. I expect this to continue for years. The kit comes with a very nice cleaning cloth and a glasses case. It actually fits larger glasses than mine.
