When we go out in the winter. It's very cute and well made. It seems warm, but it would be warmer if the back (so to speak "skirt") didn't stick out. It doesn't fit the dog's body snugly in the back half and I don't think it can be fixed. The material is quite thick for warmth, so it's a bit stiff - the fabric is nice and soft but has some dimensionality. It hugs the neck and chest well but can be 3-4 inches longer to reach the tail. This is a small size (nine pounds Shee-Poo). I don't know if the large size would fit the back half better.
