I have a router, table saw, plane and router. and a drill with Wixey and they all work great especially the saw and router. I can resize and go back to a few thousandths. Or I measure a piece with a microphone, adjust the saw and cut to within a few thousandths. However, a drill positioned vertically in the shadow of a belt guard requires lighting. I have a flashlight handy so I can read the measurements. Should not. But Wixey is much more accurate than the depth gauge on my drill. Just pull it out (0) to the desired depth and drill to (0) and you have depths down to a few thousandths. But it has to be lit.
