(Bought for our 15 month old baby who is now 17 months old) They don't compare to the cheaper slick rubber sole mesh sneakers from an unpopular baby brand. We wanted to love her. However, due to the material, they quickly get dirty and easily scratch the toe of the shoe. They are stiffer than other running shoes and not as light. This is not good for the little ones. With wear and tear, our little one walks slower and heavier, and his gait changes for the worse. Not a good purchase for toddlers just walking around, just nice to look at. We bought cheaper shoes with mesh rubber soles and got better results.
