Excellent product. Unique idea. These "handles" are made from a thin piece of plastic with two different adhesives on each side; One side (facing the carpet) is designed to be (permanently) glued to the carpet, and the top is a reusable, sticky, silicone-like substance that "sticks" to the floor but is not permanent. I cleaned the underside of my rug where the handles would be with a lint roller to make sure there was a clean surface to stick to. and I cleaned and dried my laminate floor with a damp cloth. Here's how I applied them: just peel off the backing from the side of the carpet sticker; Place the rug and press firmly to the floor (without exposing the silicone side of the handle). I wanted to make sure the sticky side of the product was sticking well before opening the side of the floor so I wouldn't have to peel the product off the floor if I put the rug in the wrong place. I opened up the silicone side after installing the grips on all corners. Placed rug (a 5" rug in my hallway) where I needed it, removed the protective liner on the silicone/bottom side of the product and pressed into place. Place. Immediately the runners sit securely in my hallway and I no longer have the feeling that they are moving under my feet. But my cats are tired and won't walk or slide on it anymore. This product is way better than those rugs.
