Complacency kills established brands

When finished it's a pretty solid product at a reasonable price, but what they're selling you is underdeveloped and expensive. The dash fascia is attached with metal clips that press onto the plastic fascia they include separately, allowing you to fit them instead of just fitting them at the factory. In addition, the parts have production-related sprues and bulges that have to be cut and filed to fit. The spigots where the dash panel meets the radio panel are too big and need to be trimmed to fit as well. If you're not ready to do all of these modifications, look for another set to buy as this one definitely doesn't come out of the box. If you have the modding tools you can make a pretty nice object out of it. It's actually crazy that the silver version of this kit costs twice as much when it's exactly the same kit with mediocre silver paintwork and the same quality control issues. Metra have released a good product in the past and it is sad to see that they are becoming complacent and sloppy with their product.
