I don't know why the user who reviewed this article on 10/20/19 had problems with the Canon 580EX. I connected the transmitter and flash trigger, set them up according to the manual and my 15 year old 580EX worked perfectly. I have to pass this on to Canon, both my 580EX work like new. I bought them when I bought my Canon 20D. I upgraded to 80D a few years ago. Nice upgrade. Two XPPro recommendations. Print out a larger instruction manual (I can barely read the attached one) and put on the trigger and transmitter housings. (one star under rating). I need something to store them, so I'm looking for some kind of soft case or cases. Either way, it's better than Canon's line-of-sight transmitter ST-E2. (I currently have a case, Xpro Transmitter fits the ST-E2 case) Looking forward to experimenting with high speed sync.
