I get nervous on calls and since WFH has become the new normal I've decided to get a worry toy instead of tearing papers and clicking pens forever. Enter this cube. I could have sworn the day I received it that the joystick actually sticks out and moves freely. At some point, just after I fiddled with it, it seemed to "get stuck" in the cube. Upon closer inspection, it appears as if it's being pulled inward by some kind of magnet. I have no way of "unfastening" it and getting it working again so I can play around with it freely. So "tinkering" with this part means pulling it out of the cube to make it fit back into place. Also, the rotating part seems to prefer getting stuck in one of two positions, leading me to believe it contains some kind of magnet. here. This also seems to cause the bait to pull a little on each full turn, but not always. It's just a little frustrating from a tactile standpoint. I made a video of how the cube looks to me now to show the joystick and spinner in their current state. All other pages - switches, knobs and rollers - work as expected. I like the feel of the knobs and the ease with the rotating side of the cube. Ultimately it still does its job, I'm just a little frustrated that the joystick broke on day one and I can't just get in there to hunt down the magnet's supposed culprit. :(
